About Linos NEWS
A digital newsroom born in Tbilisi, built for a world that never stops moving.
Our Story
Linos NEWS was founded in early 2026 in Tbilisi, Georgia, by a group of journalists and technologists who believed the global news industry needed something it largely lacked: speed without sacrificing accuracy, and breadth without sacrificing depth.
Georgia sits at a crossroads — historically, geographically, and culturally — between East and West, between old-world institutions and new-world disruption. That vantage point shapes how we cover the world. We are neither purely Western nor purely Eastern in our perspective. We cover what matters, wherever it happens.
Headquartered on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi's historic city center, our newsroom combines local editorial talent with contributors and correspondents across Europe, the United States, and Asia. We publish in English, reaching a global audience of readers who want reliable, substantive journalism delivered at the pace the modern news cycle demands.
We are independent. We have no political party affiliation, no government funding, and no single corporate patron. Our revenue comes from advertising and reader support, which means our editorial decisions answer only to our readers and our standards.
Our Mission
To produce journalism that helps readers understand not just what happened, but why it matters — verified, contextualized, and delivered in time to be useful.
- → Accuracy over speed. We verify before we publish. Corrections are issued promptly and transparently.
- → Fairness over narrative. We present the evidence. We show our sources. We let readers form their own conclusions.
- → Independence above all. No funder, advertiser, or political actor influences what we cover or how we cover it.

Editorial Standards
Fact-Checking Methodology
Every factual claim in a Linos NEWS article must be supported by at least two independent, primary sources before publication. For breaking news, where a second source may not yet be available, we clearly label coverage as "developing" and update articles as verification is completed.
Our editors cross-reference claims against official records, primary documents, published academic research, and direct statements from named individuals with direct knowledge. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is significant and cannot be obtained any other way, and their use is disclosed to readers.
Source Requirements
- Minimum two independent sources for every factual claim
- Primary sources preferred — official data, original research, direct statements
- Named sources required unless anonymity is essential and editorially justified
- No single-source stories run without a clear "developing" label
- Wire service reports are always cross-checked against primary sources before we rely on them
Corrections Policy
When we make a mistake, we fix it fast and say so clearly. Corrections are appended to the original article with the date and nature of the error explained. We do not silently edit published stories. Significant corrections are noted in our editorial log. To report an error, email editors@linos.ai with "Correction" in the subject line.
Separating News from Opinion
News reporting and analysis are clearly labeled and kept editorially separate. Analysis pieces carry a label indicating they reflect the reporter's informed interpretation of events. Opinion content, where published, is always attributed and clearly distinguished from factual reporting.
How We Work
Linos NEWS operates with a small, focused editorial team supported by modern research tools. We use AI-assisted technology to help us monitor news wires, surface emerging stories, analyze large volumes of source material, and prepare initial research summaries.
Every article published on Linos NEWS is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before it appears on the site. Our editors verify facts, improve clarity, apply our editorial standards, and take full responsibility for the content we publish. AI tools assist; humans decide.
This hybrid approach allows us to cover a broad range of topics with the speed today's readers expect, while maintaining the editorial accountability that distinguishes journalism from content. We believe transparency about our methods is part of our obligation to readers.
For a detailed explanation of our AI use, source policies, and correction procedures, see our Editorial Policy.
